Honors

• Minrose will be in New Orleans on Sept. 29 to accept the William Wisdom/William Faulkner Books-in-Progress Award for the book she's working on now: Rescue. The award is given by the Pirates' Alley Faulkner Society. See details below.

• In June, Minrose received the Society for the Study of Southern Literature's Richard Beale Davis Distinguished Lifetime Service to Southern Letters Award.
