Minrose Gwin is the author of a number of scholarly books: The
Woman in the Red Dress: Gender, Space, and Reading, Black and White Women of
the Old South: The Peculiar Sisterhood in American Literature, and The Feminine
and Faulkner: Reading Beyond Sexual Difference. She also edited A Woman’s Civil
War by Cornelia McDonald and a book of poetry by her mother, Erin Clayton
Pitner entitled Stones and Roses. She is coeditor of The Literature of the
American South: A Norton Anthology and the Southern Literary Journal.
